Fall/Winter Music Technology Workshops
2008-2009
Using
Technology to Complete the CBPA's
Washington state music
teachers are required by law to implement Classroom Based Performance
Assessments (CBPA’s) to all 5, 8, and 10th grade music
students beginning in January 2008. The focus of this course is to learn
various ways of using music technology to assist the teacher in achieving
this assessment. Course will consist of: understanding the law as it
currently exists, examination of Rubrics and EALRs, implementing current
posted projects on the OSPI website using technology, and other ideas and
projects for implementing the CBPA's using technology. Course will
incorporate composing software and video technology. Plenty of time for
you to develop a plan of action on how you can begin implementing
this with your students and save tons of time by using technology.
