M-Audio Key Rig GM software synthesizer

Key Rig covers all the basic needs for today¹s keyboardist in a single virtual rack housing four great sounding modules. The SP-1 Stage Piano module serves up grands, Wurlie, Rhodes, FM, clav, pads and more. Each preset can hold a combination of two instruments with individual settings for Mix, Octave, Detune, Velocity and Tone. Owing to a dual effects section, each preset also has its own effect settings including delay, chorus, phaser and more.

The MS-2 Polyphonic Synthesizer delivers a new, easy way to call up and edit great synth sounds. Each preset consists of sub-presets for each major section: filter, amp, mod and FX. Creating new sounds is as simple as combining these sub-presets in different ways and tweaking any associated parameters from there as desired.

The MB-3 Electromagnetic Organ authentically emulates the classic Hammond sound complete with rotary speaker. Standard features include nine drawbars that are pre-mapped to M-Audio brand USB MIDI controllers, percussion and variable key click, three chorus and three vibrato settings. Rotary speaker emulation includes tube overdrive, speed and tone controls to yield everything from glassy jazz chords to smoking rock leads.

The GM-4 General MIDI Module delivers 128 GM instruments plus a great GM drum kit. It instantly plays GM-compatible standard MIDI files from host applications and provides an extremely easy way of sequencing additional backing tracks.

• Due to an incompatibility between the Vise installer technology and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, it will not be currently possible to install Virtual Drumline 2.5 directly from the DVD on the latest Mac operating system, OS X 10.5 (Leopard). Native Instruments have created a free patch for this problem, which can be downloaded from the NI website here.

Rock and Pop for Sibelius 5

The Rock and Pop Collection contains 108 pitched instruments plus 20 drum kits (featuring a vast range of percussion sounds from Disco to World Music), of which you can play up to 32 at once. It includes all the sounds you'll need to write rock and pop music – from guitars, keyboards and drums to horns, strings, and even a Hammond B3 organ.

The collection has been created in partnership with SONiVOX and Native Instruments, who are among the world's leading sampling companies. It includes well-known instruments such as a Fender Stratocaster guitar and Rickenbacker bass, and multiple samples are provided for many of the instruments, with different styles and tones so you can get just the sound you're looking for.

The Rock and Pop collection integrates seamlessly with Sibelius 5, via a special version of the acclaimed Kontakt sample player from Native Instruments. This gives you a range of adjustable parameters – including reverb, brightness, tuning and other audio characteristics – so you can control the sound of each instrument individually. You can even export an audio file to create a CD of your music, or convert to an MP3 file.
